Connie LaaloSPECIAL EVENT COORDINATOR
With a background in design and cultural theory, Connie is a community engagement specialist who uses her interdisciplinary perspective to create public events that connect audiences to larger issues and concepts in a meaningful and relevant way. Her previous work experience includes work in educational programming for school-aged children, developing tours and workshops for educators and organizing conferences and symposia on such diverse topics as bio-textiles, the African diaspora, historical thinking and experimental Arab film. Connie’s experience in coordinating and facilitating speakers’ panels has been just as diverse – Cuban artists, First Nation elders and artists, youth activists and female entrepreneurs.
Connie is excited to work with Render in its second year and is working to create a space for dialogue and new learning at the Artists’ Talk.
